How the arithmetic works.
- conc = 10 mg ÷ 2 mL = 5.00 mg/mL
- vol = 3mg ÷ 5.00 = 0.600 mL
- units = 0.600 mL × 100 = 60.0 U
A U-100 syringe is graduated so that 100 units equals 1 mL, which is why the volume in millilitres is multiplied by 100 to get the mark to draw to.
